Distribution
This Tiny little bee which is around 1 centimeter in length lives in Southern England and the Channel Islands (Jersey). Scarce and very local but occasionally abundant where it is found.
Nesting biology
Nests in small to large aggregations, mainly on level, sparsely vegetated soil.
This tiny and rarely seen little Bee, builds a turret-like nest entrance and is a eusocial species, The workers being smaller than the gynes.
Habitat
Mainly open sites, including chalk grassland and woodland.
